I'll admit that the title came first- it's a cool title! But what really caught me was the image of pain, conflict, and inner battle crystallized by the emergence of party culture and technology- an image that sat in my head as the definition of the "Neon Scream"- it's the cry of those amongst generations who use the heightened world of the night to fill up the emptiness that lies inside.
